Innovative Handmade Globe Making Competition – July 2026
Objective
The purpose of this competition is to encourage creativity, geographical understanding, independent learning, and hands-on participation among students through the process of making a handmade globe. The competition focuses on learning, originality, creativity, and the student’s own effort rather than perfection or showmanship.
Eligibility & Participation
Each participant may submit only one entry.
This competition is open to students from Classes 5 to 12 in Mumbai.
Participation is open to individual entries only. Team entries are not permitted
Entry fee: ₹125 per participant. Registration is confirmed only after payment is received and verified.
🌍 Categories & Themes
Participants are divided into two categories based on their class:
Junior — Classes 5 to 8
- • Green Earth
- • Time Zones & Earth Rotation
- • Biodiversity Hotspots
- • Rich vs Poor Nations
- • Ancient Civilizations of the World
Senior — Classes 9 to 12
- • Earth Before Humans
- • Rivers That Changed Civilizations
- • Forest Types Across Continents
- • Major Ports & Shipping Networks
- • Peace & Conflict Zones
Note: Themes are provided as inspiration and guidance. Participants are encouraged to choose one theme and interpret it creatively through their globe.
Globe Size & Material Guidelines
- • The globe must be made using a plastic ball as the base.
- • The diameter of the ball should be between 6 inches and 9 inches.
- • The globe must be completely handmade by the participant.
- • Pens, markers, paints, brushes, and suitable art materials may be used.
- • All writing and labelling must be neat, clear, and readable.
Role of Parents & Teachers
Parents, guardians, and teachers are encouraged to:
- • Motivate and guide the student throughout the process.
- • Encourage creativity, independent thinking, and effort.
- • Help students understand geographical concepts and choose a theme.
Allowed
- • Use of your own creativity and original ideas.
- • Learning and referencing geographical concepts while creating the globe
- • Use of recycled or sustainable materials — bonus points will be awarded
- • Maintaining neatness, originality, and independent effort throughout
- • Use of educational references (books, maps, websites) with proper credit or citation
Not Allowed
- • Use of readymade globes purchased from the market.
- • Use of printed globe stickers or pre-designed templates
- • Copying another participant's work in any form.
- • Use of AI-generated or digitally prepared globe designs.
- • Digital modelling, animation, or electronic presentations
- • Offensive, inappropriate, or unsuitable content of any kind.
Important: Parents, guardians, and teachers must NOT make, decorate, or complete the globe on behalf of the participant. This competition is a learning process. The student’s own effort, creativity, and understanding are what matter most.
Important Dates
Late entries will NOT be considered for prizes or evaluation. Failure to meet deadlines may result in disqualification.

Submission Guidelines
All submissions are fully online. No physical dispatch of globes required.
Make your globe using a plastic ball (6–9 inches diameter). Draw, colour, and label by hand based on your chosen theme.
Click 5 stage-wise photos showing your progress. Save as JPEG. Write a brief description for each photo.
Record one video (with visible timestamp) presenting your globe and explaining your chosen theme.
Download Timestamp Camera App
Prepare a short project report describing your globe and the theme you selected.
Upload all materials via the submission link that will be shared after registration is confirmed.
Disqualification Rules
A participant may be disqualified if:
A readymade globe is used
More than one entry is submitted.
Registration or submission deadlines are not followed.
AI-generated or digitally prepared designs are used.
Offensive or inappropriate content is included.
The work is found to be copied or not original.
A parent, teacher, or any other person makes or completes the globe on behalf of the student

By participating in this competition, participants (and their parents/guardians) grant permission to SPAKT E2E Mumbai to publish, display, and promote submitted globes, photographs, videos, and project reports on the following platforms for educational, promotional, and exhibition purposes:
⚖ Organisers' Rights
SPAKT, Mumbai reserves the right to manage, evaluate, publish, modify rules, and accept or reject entries at its sole discretion.
The decision of the organisers and judges shall be final and binding in all matters.
SPAKT reserves the right to modify any rule if required, with prior notice to registered participants.
